About Leia Matern

I starting cooking at a young age finding inspiration from my mother and a still treasured scratch and sniff children’s cookbook. My love for cooking grew and I soon found myself catering a few friends weddings. One of my friends urged me to start my own business and even thought up the name Skewers, as we used many foods on sticks for her wedding menu! Years later, I finally made this dream a reality.

My daughter has a nut allergy, so developing recipes to accommodate her needs and checking labels carefully is something I am very accustomed to. Special accommodations are welcome!

In my not-so-free time I enjoy hiking with my husband and two daughters and swimming with Emerald Aquatic Masters Swim Team.

I am SafeServ certified and a member of the United States Personal Chef Association. I’m very excited to work with you!
